WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?
This year, the 2012 Act Four Retreat will be held at the Santa Barbara Inn, 901 East Cabrillo Boulevard, Santa Barbara, California 93103. The inn has single rooms and suites, is two blocks from the Amtrak Station, and provides continental breakfasts and wireless Internet access. To reserve your room, please register by phone at (800) 231-0431, and say you’re with Act Four. For room rates, see www.santabarbarainn.com/ There is a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel after booking and a full night’s room rate cancellation fee if you cancel after October 5th. The Inn will fill up soon, so please book promptly after receiving your Act Four invitation.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
There is no conference fee, but you are responsible for your own lodging and meals for two nights. You will also be committing a portion of your summer to reading two to four unpublished novels by authors who will also be critiquing your work.
HOW DO I RESERVE MY SPOT?
Your invitation to join us from a member of our community who admires your writing takes the place of any formal application. If you have received an invitation, congratulations. You’ve already been sponsored and accepted!
Now, you must promptly reserve your spot at the Franciscan Inn.
Once you’ve reserved your room, please forward a brief description of the novel you'll be presenting and your contact information to dphinney@psomas.com so we can introduce you to the others in your group and forward you more of the specifics. If you can't come, or aren't interested, please send regrets to your sponsor so they can offer your slot to another author.
